Shipment of personal items from Germany to Cyprus

Paspa

Hello,

I am a student currently living in Munich, Germany. I want to transport some of my stuff to Nicosia, Cyprus, since I am moving to Spain for my PhD soon. I currently have 10 boxes with dimensions 34cmX41cmX33cm and an average weight per box is 15kg. My cargo consists mainly of books, some devices, clothes, sheets, and small personal items made from clay, plastic, and paper. I am not interested in a speedy delivery but I need a door-to-door service. DHL and Eurosender are super expensive. I have found another alternative that does door-to-door delivery via the company Road Solution Cyprus. The minimum price they offer is 900 euros. Do you think it is too expensive, and if yes, what other options can you suggest? So far, unfortunately, it is the cheapest door-to-door service I have found.

I would appreciate your feedback and please let me know if anyone had a similar experience with transporting goods from Germany to Cyprus.

Best regards,

Christos

I sent my student children's things to them by a courier type service from the UK to Denmark, and for the second child from UK to Switzerland. It was about the same volume, contents as yours, and price. (Mostly books, clothes, personal effects, all packed in boxes.)

I had to weigh, measure each box and identify by code every item inside and put a monetary value.

I would say, 900 euros is OK for price.

Thanks a lot for this info! I would say then that the price is very reasonable given that the distances you describe are considerably shorter than Munich-Nicosia. Thanks a lot again!

Call Cyprus container shipping in peyia and Peter Morton removals for comparative quote. They might not cover that route but will be able to offer assistance as they are very helpful
