Inmigration

Kellykeighley6

Hi all,

Hopefully someone can offer some advice.

I am an EU passport holder my partner and children are both UK passport holders.

The process is straight forward and both MEU 1 and 2 have been completed.My partner has been offered a job obviously pending immigration clearance and has been given a letter conforming this from the company to give to immigration.

MY appointment was yesterday 9th December knowing that they would require further details (im waiting to start work) I went anyway to make sure that there was nothing I was missing.

The "check list" they gave is pretty clear and they had ticked which documents they needed for the appointment when I collected the forms.

Here is where the confusion now sets in..

They are now saying they need me to provide my first month's pay slip or show proof of the company registering me which is fine however she then proceeded to tell me I needed to provide confomation that my children have been registered in school (this wasn't discussed previously) but obviously they will be attending school however they need a special needs equipped school.

They then went on to advise they would need 3 months bank statements from me and my partner? Can someone advise what this is for? And why if they needed this did they not advise previously when the forms were collected and they marked out the "required documents"

Also they went on to advise that my partner could start work! I am confused because he is a UK passport holder and although he falls under my MEU1 he has no proof of this as of yet?

I feel like the immigration were very dismissive and somewhat unhelpful and not really wanting to help at all and refused to make a follow up appointment and advised "there are 5 of you of you don't turn up it's wasted time" which was quiet rude and pointed at the door and said "there is the email make an appointment"

I'm quiet a level headed person but the level of unprofessional and quiet frankly rude approach they have leaves me speechless.

All help/advice is appreciated

Not good news at all. Unfortunately I would say you should engage a professional to assist. I understand it is something you can do yourself but it is way better with professional help as they generally have ways of dealing with immigration! It appears to be the way they work in Cyprus. Tell you what you need and then when you arrive ask for things they never mentioned. I had all this and the Bank were particularly useless. It took 3 visits before we had fulfilled all their not known requirements!

Very simple question-- is this Eastern Cyprus or the dreaded Western area.?? I can advise on the East but definitly not on the West.

@Peter Ty

In my experience I would strongly suggest giving Emerald Properties a wide berth - all I will say is that they are full of lip service!  Perhaps all estate agents are of the same vein?  Have only ever dealt with the above.....
