Riyadh living expenses (mainly compound rent)

Shivla

Seeing a lot of dynamic and conflicting information on cost of living in Riyadh. I am considering a move there in the coming months and was hoping for some up-to-date pricing info.

we are a married couple and interested in a compound with some amenities (gym & pool at a minimum).

what would a 2 bedroom apartment cost annually? Something like Al Naklha or comparable?

the compensation package offered is generous but I’ve heard housing costs are climbing quickly so want to make sure the math still works.

Prices keep changing quickly for new entrants to a compound in Riyadh due to demand.  And especially as most compounds are full.   Roughly, anywhere from 80 to 150K SAR for a two bedroom.   In compounds like Al Hamra, it would be way higher.

Thanks. When you say “way higher” can you provide a rough figure?

I was offered a one bedroom in Al Hamra for around 200K.  So expect around 250K+ if the price hasn't gone higher in the last 6 months.
