How much would a full time driver cost?

sizzles

Hi,

I'm trying to hire a full time driver and not sure exactly how much I should be looking at paying, the driver would need their car included as I can't buy one.

Does anyone know how much I should be looking at spending, I don't want to be ripped off...

Thanks

Not really sure exactly - A friend used to pay her driver 2000sar a month but that was returned to her from her embassy as a work cost so i don't know if thats more than you would pay out of you own pocket. He was available at her request but generally by prior arrangement so imagine he had work elsewhere too

I hired a car (yaris-2010) with driver for 3500/month couple of months back, but my experience didnt go well. The driver was inconsistent and continued doing other duties.

So if you want to hire a good full time driver with car, then make up ur mind for least 4-5K/month

why you dont use private taxis?
there is some companies can arrange that for you ..

Duh, didnt even think ... I always used taxis, and once you get a driver you like you keep his private number and they are happy to pick you up for work everyday etc. Also they will do you a better price if you are regular. My last compound was really strict on other taxi companies coming on but once I got my regular driver sorted they gave him his vehicle badge and he was in and out when he needed to be

I strongly agree with guys suggesting a part-timer but if you really want to hire a full-time driver, imho the following is the rough baseline:

- Monthly Salary: 1,500 to 2,000
- Car Charges: 2,000 to 3,000 {of course depends on the car model etc}

agree with Legend, his estimate is about right

Hi sizzles, i have the same problem since i can't drive either beside i am man :).
so i call some friend having car and i pay less than the lemo price so if the lemo go with 50SAL i pay 30SRL last month i paid 1200srl and i save alot time not waiting lemo.

you can't get a car because woman not allowed to drive in Saudi so you also can't get car even you can pay one plus you will take risk of employee some one can not be under your sponsorship remember this is the regulations of Saudi.

you may contact some reliable person that can be in time though your company or your friend, or you can wait till i get my licence and i drive you :) all the best.

You're wrong about this--it's one of the many ironies in the Kingdom.  A woman CAN own a car--just can't drive the freakin' thing!! :D

HAHA! you are right in this one lol!
but still they need to make special family roads if they allowed women driving here in this country .. that would be CRAZY! xD

hmmm ja well although I could very well imagine it, I guess it wouldnt work ... it would probably get in the way of motorway U turns and driving the wrong way down the street ...

Alright I did this before I could my hands on my wheels.

Had a few ppl I knew who knew of a guy with a taxi cab. I used this one guy all the time. He would drive me wherever and whenever. and I would pay him on a much lower rate.

I have used a really good limo compnay for my longer trips and to go to bahrain as well.

But yes. around 2000 a month for a driver, car not included sounds about right.
