New Here... Advice Accepted!!!!

LydiaAbibu

Morning,

My name is Lydia, and I am moving to Ghana very soon to be with my fiancee. I have started by renewing my passport, cannot apply for my visa until that returns. From that point I have no idea!!! I work from home right now and I am not sure if I am gonna work there. hubby says no I am on the fence. We are wanting to have a family before wee get too much older. I am excited about the move, we just dont want to get me there do our nuptuals and I have to leave that would break our heart. Any advice on how to go about this is greatly accepted.
Thanks in advance,
Lydia and Jeremiah Abibu(to be):D

I am not really sure what you are asking. Do you want to know what the procedure is for renewing your visa here once you are married?
You can come to Ghana on a visitors visa for 3 months and then when you are married you will be able to extend that to resident permit which is renewed yearly.
On that permit you will not be able to take paid employment.
Hope this helps
Good luck with the move.

Thank you hkann,
That was my question exactly. You read my mind through all the ecitement, I was able to make a clear description.

hkann, does your airline ticket have to be round trip? This is getting a little flustering because we decided on me relocating in Jan., right around the corner.
Thanks for your time and help.

I don't think I was asked to produce an air ticket but had one out of the country before the date the visa expired. Look on the Ghana immigration website which will tell you the requirements.
It will all work out

Thank you so much for all your help and encouragement. I will check.
