Inheritance

iddydanny1

Hello I've inherited from my Dad in the UK. All taxes paid in the UK. I have to inform the French tax office as I'll have tax to pay here being a resident. Does anyone know what documents they'll be looking for.

Tks

Hi Iddy

I used a French tax lawyer, rather than an accountant, when I received an inheritance from my aunt (she was US-based, but we are both Brits). He got my inheritance tax down from 60% to zero (it was a Trust)! Amazing! Of course, there were his fees involved but it was a life-changing saving! I don't think we can tag businesses in these posts, so please feel free to send me a message if you'd like his details.

Best, Nicole

Hello thanks for your reply

I'm sourcing an international tax lawyer. I've been warned it'll be costly. Today booked an appointment with tax office to hear what they say.

Looked a lot online but no 2 versions the same.
