Ok to share hotel room for unmarried couple?

Hello everybody,

My partner and I are considering travelling to Muscat soon. We obviously would like to share a hotel room, but we have heard that this is not possible everywhere (UAE etc.) ... would this cause any problems in Oman? We are thinking about some international chain hotel around Muscat!

Hi BobDylan456,

Staying as a couple in any hotel in Oman is no issue at all, irrespective of whether is an international chain or a local homegrown brand.

And no, while checking-in they will not ask you to produce a marriage certificate if that's what you are worried about.
