D7 which documents need apostille

Toshiro123

Hi,

The form: RESIDENCY STAY VISA FOR RETIREMENT PURPOSES, RELIGIOUS PURPOSES OR FOR LIVING FROM INDIVIDUAL REVENUES (D7). has specified only the Police Check needing Apostille.

The APPLICATION FOR NATIONAL VISA form doesn't specify any documents needing Apostille

Can anyone advise if this is really the case?  I am getting together a shedload of documents which will cost a huge amount to Apostille - see below.  Can anyone advise if any of the below need Apostille also if you spot anything missing for D7 application to London office of VSF please let me know!!!

Sasha

Hi @Toshiro123,

I think the apostille is only needed for the criminal record certificate. And, probably for retirees/ pensioners they also have to submit an official document issued by the competent authorities with apostille certifying they are retired/pensioners and the retirement amount they receive.

I’ve been through the D7 process recently and yeah, I also got confused with the document requirements, especially around what actually needs apostille. In my case (applying as someone with passive income), the only thing I needed apostilled was the UK police certificate. The rest of the documents like bank statements, rental agreements, and the NIF were fine without it, but I made sure all the originals were clear and translated where required.

To get the police check apostilled, I used since I was short on time and their next-day service helped me move things faster before my VFS appointment.
