I have been looking everywhere for Hershey's cocoa powder in Paris or a substitute, with no success. Anybody knows where to find it or what people use here to bake chocolate cakes?
Thanks a bunch!

I found Van Houten (since 1828), but I can't remember in which supermarket. I'm sure there are different brands available, just not Hershey's.
Ask for "100% pur cacao, non sucré pour patisseries". They usually keep it with the powder to make hot chocolate (chocolat chaud).

Thanks a lot, I'll look for it! :D

Hi hannyle,

I often make chocolate cakes and I use " Nestlé Dessert Poudre 100% cacao". I believe it's the best one and you can find it in most supermarkets.

Good luck!

Thank you! Actually I found it a bit difficult to find the Van Houten powder at supermarkets in my area, I'll try the Nestlé one.

There are other popular brands that fits for baking chocolate cakes namely Droste, Lindt, Valrhona, Poulain and Pernigotti... :)
